For the first time in program history, the WVU baseball team is ranked. Both the Baseball America and D1Baseball.com polls have the Mountaineers ranked 21st. The USA Today Coaches’ Poll ranked WVU 25th.

The Mountaineers are the only team in the Big 12 to win every series in conference play. Here are the current standings:

#6 TCU (28-7) 9-3
#5 Texas Tech (31-8) 8-4
#21 West Virginia (21-13) 8-4
Oklahoma (27-12) 5-4
Kansas (17-18) 6-6
Texas (24-15) 7-8
Baylor (22-14) 5-7
Oklahoma State (20-15) 4-8
Kansas State (17-18) 2-10

West Virginia will look to justify the ranking by going on the road this week, first in Charleston against Marshall on Tuesday, then a series at K-State this weekend.
